Too Much? Vivica A. Fox's Gigantic 8 Carat Engagement Ring

I like a sparkling engagement ring just as much as the next girl...but this is just ridiculous. Vivica A. Fox (Independence Day, Curb Your Enthusiasm) recently got engaged to Atlanta club promoter Omar "Slim" White...who at age 27 is quite a bit younger than Fox. Maybe he's trying to make up for his lack of years with carats?

Ok...There's nothing really wrong with this proposal. It's romantic, cute, blah blah blah.

But here's what irks me. The dude obviously went out of his way to arrange a the perfect proposal. From hiring an entire band to play her favorite song, to getting the geek squad to capture every angle humanly possible on video...he really seemed to put a lot of thought into this.
